Pricing & billing
£1.99/month with a 7-day free trial. That includes all live modules, unlimited module exams, 5 AI patient simulations per month, and 2 overall programme exams per month. There is one plan — no hidden tiers. Your card is required to start the trial but nothing is charged until day 8.
After your 7-day trial, your card is charged £1.99 and your subscription continues monthly. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard — if you cancel before the trial ends you will never be charged. There is no lock-in and no cancellation fee.
Yes. A valid card is required to start the 7-day trial. It is held securely by Stripe but nothing is charged until the trial ends. If you cancel during the trial, your card is never charged.
Only if you go over your monthly free allowances:

AI patient simulations: 5 free per month, then £0.99 each extra.
Overall programme exams: 2 free per month, then £0.50 each extra.
Module exams: completely unlimited, no extra charges ever.

These usage charges are there because AI compute costs money to run. Most users never exceed the free limits.
From your dashboard — click "Manage subscription" to open the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation is instant and takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No forms, no questions asked, no email needed.
Because ParaCrash is a digital service with immediate access, we generally cannot offer refunds for used billing periods. However, if you were charged in error, the platform was unavailable for an extended period, or you were charged after cancelling, we will always make it right. Email [email protected] with your details. See our full Refund Policy for all the details.
The AI patient simulator is powered by Anthropic's Claude — one of the most capable AI models available. Every simulation costs real money in API compute. £1.99/month is as low as we can go while keeping the platform running. We don't profit — it all goes on AI, servers, and hosting.
AI patient simulator
You receive an emergency dispatch and begin assessing a realistic AI-generated patient. The patient responds to your questions and interventions in real time. At the end, you're assessed against a 27-point OSCE-style marking scheme with detailed examiner-grade feedback on what you did well and where you could improve.
5 free per month, included in your subscription. If you run more, each additional simulation is £0.99 (charged via Stripe at the time you start it). Your usage resets at the start of each billing month.
The scenarios are grounded in real paramedic practice and OSCE frameworks, but AI is not infallible. Always verify any clinical information against current JRCALC guidelines and your employer's local protocols. ParaCrash is a revision tool, not a clinical reference — treat it as a simulator, not a textbook.
No — never enter real patient data, personal data, or sensitive information into the AI simulator. All scenarios are fictional. Your inputs are processed by Anthropic (USA) and subject to their Privacy Policy. Use the simulator as a training tool only, with made-up or fictional details.
Feedback is generated against a 27-point OSCE-standard marking scheme covering scene safety, patient assessment, clinical decision-making, communication, and treatment. The AI acts as a simulated examiner. Scores and feedback are for practice purposes only — they carry no formal academic or regulatory weight.
Modules & exams
4 of 13 BSc paramedic science modules are currently live. New modules are released as we complete them in our own degree — roughly one per semester over the next couple of years. All future modules are included in your current subscription at no extra charge.
There are two types:

Module exams: Test your knowledge on a specific module. These are unlimited — take them as many times as you like.

Overall programme exams: Broad multi-module tests. You get 2 free per month; additional ones are £0.50 each.
No. ParaCrash is a supplementary revision and practice tool, not a regulated qualification programme. Always follow your university curriculum, clinical placement protocols, and your scope of practice. Never use ParaCrash content to inform real-world patient care decisions.
Not currently. All content is web-based and requires an active subscription to access. The site is fully responsive and works well on mobile browsers. Offline support may be considered in future.
Account & access
You keep full access until the end of the current billing period. After that your account is paused — your progress and data are retained for 12 months. You can resubscribe at any time and pick up exactly where you left off.
No. Each subscription is for a single user. Sharing credentials is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in account suspension. Subscriptions are priced low enough that everyone should have their own — group or student discounts may be considered in future.
Yes. We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We are registered with the ICO (ZB910034). Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing. Card details are never stored by us — they are held securely by Stripe. See our full Privacy Policy for complete details.
Email [email protected] with your registered email address and a request for account deletion. We will action it within 30 days (note: billing records are retained for 7 years as required by UK financial law). You also have additional rights under UK GDPR — see our Privacy Policy.
Technical
Not yet — ParaCrash is web-based and works on all modern mobile browsers. The site is fully responsive. Native iOS/Android apps are something we're considering for the future.
Use the contact form and select "Bug report", or visit the Feedback page. Include the page you were on, what you were doing, your browser and device, and any error message you saw — it helps us fix things quickly.
Check your spam or junk folder first — our emails occasionally land there on shared mail servers. If you still can't find it after 30 minutes, email [email protected] and we'll look into it.
Absolutely. We love hearing from paramedic students and educators. Email [email protected] with your ideas, scenario suggestions, or content feedback. We read every message and many features have come directly from user suggestions.
